The 21st Century presents Kenya and Kenyans with enormous potential for progress or failure. As Kenya explores more development opportunities in the coming years, the country will face many challenges – economic, social, political, environmental, scientific and also technological among others. What are the various perspectives on Kenya’s development and how will Kenyan/Kenyanist academics and professionals respond to, address, and/or influence Kenya’s development agenda in the 21st Century?  This will be the theme for an exciting and thought provoking weekend of professional engagement, dialogue, presentations, and discussions at Bowling Green State University, Bowling green, OH at the end of summer 2009.
The Second (2009) KESSA Annual Conference will be held on July 31-August 1, 2009 at Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio, USA.  The 2009 conference presents us with an exciting opportunity to build on the success of the Inaugural (2008) KESSA Conference.

We look forward to a great conference this year. Please disseminate this conference info to other interested parties.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:

Each paper presentation will last for approximately 20 minutes.

Anyone interested in advancing the cause of Kenya may participate in the 2nd KESSA conference. Even if you are not giving a paper presentation, you can still participate in any other capacity in the conference as a volunteers and/or panelist
