The Kenya Scholars and Studies Association was founded to bring together scholars and researchers with interest in Kenya.
Kenya Scholars and Studies Association (KESSA) is an independent nonprofit professional association established in the State of Ohio in the United States for the exclusive purpose of advancing scholarly, scientific, and research work on the Republic of Kenya.Its membership is drawn from all disciplines and persuasions.
The conference, whose theme focused on our 50 years since independence, was well attended.
This year, KESSA will publish the conference proceedings on our website.
For all those presenters who submitted their papers for peer-review, your papers will be up shortly.

7th KESSA Annual Conference
which will be held on September 5-6, 2014. The theme of the conference is:
Perspectives on the Effective Management of Kenya’s Natural Resources
The conference theme is inspired by Kenya's recent discovery of substantial natural resources such as Turkana's oil and water reservoirs and is designed to explore ways of preventing the well known "resource curse" from manifesting in Kenya.
